Starter Pack and gift codes for new accounts

Esta página aún no está disponible en tu idioma.

Quick answer: Yes. A new account cannot enter the game until it owns a Starter Pack. You get one by buying a pack on the Choose Your Starter Pack screen, or by redeeming a gift code on the same screen.

After you sign in and finish the first setup steps, the game sends you to Choose Your Starter Pack. It keeps sending you back there until your account owns a Starter Pack. Once you own one, the screen is skipped and you go straight into the game.

The screen lists the starter packs that are on sale. Today that is the Squire Starter Pack. The Knight Starter Pack, Warlord Starter Pack and Sovereign Starter Pack exist in the catalog but are not on sale. Each pack shows its own price and its own lock time (“Refund after N days”).

Pack Price On sale today
Squire Starter Pack 0.001 ETH Yes
Knight Starter Pack 0.005 ETH No
Warlord Starter Pack 0.01 ETH No
Sovereign Starter Pack 0.05 ETH No
  • Lock time: TBD (needs source). Read it on the pack (“Refund after N days”) before you pay. Packs can have different lock times.
  • How you pay: In ETH. If your balance is too low the screen shows “Not enough ETH. Deposit to continue.” and a deposit address.
  • Starter items right away. The heroes, resources and speed-ups listed on the pack arrive in your Bag as soon as the purchase is confirmed. You can play while the rest of the payment stays locked.
  • A Liquidity NFT. Your payment is not spent on the items alone. A 10% protocol fee is taken. The other 90% adds liquidity to the AURO–WETH pool and is recorded in a Liquidity NFT that you own.

The Liquidity NFT is locked for the time shown on your pack. After that you can withdraw what it holds, plus trading fees it earned. Open DeFi Market → My NFTs → Liquidity to see the lock and withdraw.

The amount you get back is not guaranteed to match what you paid. It can be higher or lower as token prices and the pool change. For a refund that applies to positions affected by the AURO price drop, see Liquidity Pack refunds.

You do not have to buy a pack if you have a gift code.

  1. On Choose Your Starter Pack, tap Have a gift code?.
  2. Type the code (it looks like XL-XXXXXXXXXX) and tap Redeem code.
  3. When Your gift pack is ready shows, tap Enter the game. The rewards are in your Bag.

A gift code unlocks the game the same way a purchase does, but it does not create a Liquidity NFT. Codes are made by the XLords team and each one has its own limits (expiry date, number of uses). A code works once per account. For the error messages, see Where do I enter a gift code?.

  • “Confirming your purchase” does not finish. The game enters on its own once the payment is confirmed. If it says “Confirmation is taking longer than usual”, tap Check again or come back in a few minutes.
  • Your wallet is on the wrong network. The screen asks you to switch your wallet to Robinhood Chain. If you do not want to connect a wallet, tap Pay without connecting a wallet and use a payment order.
  • The pack price does not load. The screen says “We couldn’t load the on-chain price. Use a payment order or try again.”
  • A gift code is rejected. Read the message: not recognised, expired, no longer active, fully claimed, or already claimed by you. Ask whoever gave you the code for a new one.
  • You paid but still see this screen after waiting. See I bought a pack and did not receive it and open a ticket from Setting → More → Support (Contact support).
